Guestbook

This delightful, cosy cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay. We had 3 a night break booked at short notice and wasn't disappointed with our find. Set in a peaceful location but within easy access to explore the whole island of Anglesea, there are local shops and restaurants in easy reach.
The cottage itself has everything you need, well equipped kitchen, comfortable sofa and bed and a powerful shower. Thank you Steve and Sian for your friendly welcome. We will definitely be booking with you again.

This was a delightful place to stay. Sian and Steve were helpful and welcoming. The cottage had everything we needed, was recreated beautifully and has some beautiful sunsets at the end of the day. This was our first visit to Anglesey, but won't be our last. We recommend the cottage highly - a definite 5 star experience.

Nyth y Wennol was just perfect property for us and Steve and Sian are super hosts.
We are both originally from the south of Anglesey and this part of the island is new to us, we just love it!. We walked the Coastal Path a couple of years ago and resolved that we would come to stay in the north. It has so much breathtaking scenery and so much history. It's not all about castles, although you can reach these easily. It's about finding quiet little bays sea and the wildlife.
There are some good eating spots but make sure that you get some Anglesey crab and lobster for a meal back at Nyth y Wennol.
The kitchen is particularly well appointed with a huge fridge freezer a good microwave, full size oven and hob, top quality washing machine and a very cute Butlers pantry where you can store all your dry goods. It's the only property where we've stayed that has provided decent sharp knives, and a range of working cooking tools and pans. There is a useful rotary drying line outside in the fresh Anglesey air.
Picnic and equipment (including two blankets) is provided as are logs for the barbecue. The seats outside seemed to be in sunshine for all of the day, lovely!
The living room is cosy but airy with two windows, with a great selection of Bill Bryson novels. It has an easily operated TV, not 3 remotes as in some properties!
The bathroom is HUGE and we appreciated powerful shower and deep bath (plenty of hot water) Lovely smelling handwash is provided.
The bedroom is upstairs, it has it's own radiator and an opening window (important for us!) There is plenty of storage space with room for luggage under the bed.
We found the property easy to find, it's just that you have to look out for the concealed entrance.

We were lucky enough to stay at Nyth Y Wennol for just over three weeks. We really can't recommend it highly enough. The cottage is full of character and finished to such a high standard, Steve and Sian have gone above and beyond to give you everything and more that you need for a comfortable stay. We really loved hearing the family history behind the cottage, making it feel a very unique and special place to be.

We loved exploring the island from the cottage, it's a perfect base for seeing all of Anglesey's diverse coastline, perfect for running, walking, and a brave October swim!

Sian and Steve were very welcoming hosts, on hand for advice on the local area, and kind enough to share ideas for walks. Thank you Sian for the recommendation to visit Parys Mountain - a really unique addition to Anglesey's long list of places to visit. From the pre arrival information to the day we left, Sian and Steve's thoughtfulness was really appreciated.

We will be recommending Nyth Y Wennol and a visit to Angelsey to all our friends and family and hope to return soon! Thanks again for a great stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our week at cwch gwenyn - thank you to Sian and Steve for being so unfailingly helpful, in particular for the loan of the Anglesey walks book, a real mine of data concerning interesting walks around the island - Sian is a one-man (or one-woman !) tourist information office. The cottage is very homely and welcoming, and warm as toast, and well situated for getting around Anglesey. Felt very happy and relaxed there.

Nyth y Wennol is surely the nicest holiday cottage we have stayed in. It has been renovated from original farm outbuildings with the utmost care and thought to ensure clients are comfortable and relaxed. The apparent mixture of traditional original stonework and modern facilities with many artistic touches included is delightful and gives the cottage its deserved WOW factor on first entry and throughout your stay. Catch the sunsets from your patio with a glass of wine at hand.Steve and Sian are very nice people and nothing is too much trouble for them where clients are concerned. We had a lovely two week stay here and found it to be an ideal venue for exploring Anglesey and North Wales.

We have enjoyed our week in this lovely characterful cottage. My daughter and her fiancé were due to come with us but could not get away (they work for the MOD). However, this did not spoil our enjoyment of the lovely cottage. It was interesting to read about its history. Everything possible had been thoughtfully supplied, including some milk and Welsh cakes. Lovely quiet countryside surroundings. Sadly it was too chilly to sit outside on the patio but on the warmer days it would be great to open the patio doors and enjoy drinks or a meal outside.
I can thoroughly recommend a stay in this lovely cottage.

Highly recommend this beautiful cottage we stayed in for a week. This property has been lovingly restored, creating a superb blend of modern, traditional and quirky features to appeal to everyone. There is an abundance of open stone, oak beams and lavish furnishings to create a great atmosphere to really relax and unwind in. It is in a nice secluded setting, private patio next to fields with sheep, perfect for outdoor dining. The hosts, Steve and Sian, are a lovely couple, very friendly and accommodating with a lot of local info. Our only disappointment was the weather, but there are plenty of walks, beaches and places to eat and visit nearby. Our favourite days out were Newborough (beach and forest), South Stacks nature reserve and the dramatic steps to the lighthouse and Beaumaris town and castle. We have no doubt we will return in the future.

We had a wonderful week in this delightful and extremely comfortable cottage. Anglesey has an abundance of great beaches and walks with easy access to Snowdonia. We also enjoyed paddle boarding on the Menai Straight, kayaking at Llanberis and golf in Holyhead. Sian and Steve are great hosts and we look forward to returning soon.

Sian & Steve are so lovely & helpful, we spent last week in Nyth Y Wennol & whilst the pictures are stunning you don't get the amazing character of it. Everything is done with attention to detail & clearly a great deal of care. A truly amazing place to relax with great walks on your doorstep, in a relatively un-spoilt part of Anglesey. We would definitely recommend it & hope to be back soon

Spent 4 days at this wonderful cottage and can't recommend highly enough. Everything you could possibly need is here. We especially loved the indoor and outdoor fires - a true delight. The cottage is situated down a small track in a beautiful location. There is a small shop nearby. The interior has been furnished to high standards and is equipped with everything you will need and more. Spotlessly clean and quaint and cozy - we couldn't have asked for more. The furnishings are a combination of new and old including lots of quirky pieces that have been in the family for generations..So much thought and care has been invested into this true 'home from home'. The owners have worked tirelessly to restore this beautiful building and it has clearly been a labour of love. You will not be disappointed. A perfect place to relax and unwind. We enjoyed days out to Newborough Forest (the walk out to Llanddwyn Island is a must), and to the beaches at Red Wharf Bay, Traeth Ligwy, Cemlyn Bay, Cemaes Bay and Porth Dafarch (the walk along the coastal path is breath-taking). I will definitely be returning here and I wish the owners all the luck with their new venture. Such a special place with the most welcoming and humble of owners.
My only wish is that I could have stayed longer.

I stayed at the Beehive Property earlier this year with my family. The property was amazing, beautifully designed with added thoughtful extras from the owners. We loved the surrounding land/outdoor space and visiting the local beaches. I would highly recommend this property to others.
